Recruitment Consultant - Locum Tenens

Develops trusting relationships with Healthcare providers throughout the US. Extensive phone work balancing quality with quantity, utilizing effective questioning and qualifying techniques and offering our nationwide practice opportunities that match the Healthcare providers criteria.


  • Negotiates the recruitment, interviewing, and marketing of candidates to place with existing clients & market to new clients
  • Respond to candidates’ inquiries regarding locum tenens and / or permanent job placement opportunities. Conveys the essential characteristics of the position and determines the candidate’s viability for hiring
  • Facilitate placement of healthcare providers into clients’ medical facilities by matching skill level, licenses, preferences, board status and other credentials
  • Conduct reference verifications and arrange interviews for clients
  • Advise on and negotiate contract terms with clients and candidates
  • Maintain databases regarding status of potential candidates
  • Establish and maintain communication and rapport with providers and/or clients to foster a long-term working relationship

We're looking for people who:

  • 1-3+ years of experience in recruiting, consultative phone sales or selling a professional service
  • Self- motivated “hunter” mentality and ability to persevere through tough markets
  • Professional written and oral communication skills with the ability to persuade and influence   prospects
  • Experience in recruitment or staffing a plus – healthcare, nursing, locum tenens, agency and/or in-house recruitment, Workforce Solutions/MSP
  • Experience with ATS – (we use Salesforce)
  • Light travel within the US required ~ 1-4 conferences per year
  • Accurately manipulate information utilizing a large-scale database system
  • Professional level written and oral communications skills

Preferred Skills:

  • College level education or relevant industry experience
  • Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment recruiting candidates
  • Ability to communicate and understand professional level service needs, physician credentials and client practices
  • Ability to be persuasive and influential in verbal and written communications
  • Ability to project enthusiasm and develop rapport when speaking on the telephone
  • Ability to understand and interpret financial data as well as compute profit margins
  • Manage time effectively and devise and achieve work goals independently
  • Ability to integrate individual efforts to team objectives and processes
